The American Golf Girl Legacy Junior Challenge is an inaugural junior golf event arriving in the summer of 2027, at Niagara Falls Country Club in Lewiston, New York.
The AGG Legacy Junior Challenge pairs top WNY juniors (ages 13–17) with LPGA Legends in a one-of-a-kind pro-am format. Unlike typical junior tournaments where young players compete only against peers, or pro-am events where amateurs are typically adult business executives, this tournament creates a rare convergence.

Nestled atop the Niagara Escarpment, Niagara Falls Country Club offers an A.W. Tillinghast classic, 18 hole design and sets up views of Lewiston, Youngstown, Niagara-on-the-Lake, and Toronto. This championship course plays 70-par 6,621 yards. Tillinghast is recognized as one of the greatest course architects of the 20th century who is credited with later collaborations on Augusta National, Winged Foot, Oak Hill, Baltusrol and many others. The course was later updated by Robert Trent Jones Sr., Geoffrey Cornish, and Brian M. Silva.
NFCC has hosted the renowned Porter Cup since its inception in 1959. Originally known as the International Invitation at Niagara Falls Country Club, this premier amateur event is proud to have hosted over 67 Major winners on the PGA and LPGA Tours including Tiger Woods, Phil Mickelson, Dustin Johnson, Brooks Koepka, Brian Harman, and Rickie Fowler to name a few.
In 2013 a women’s tournament was added with Casey Cathrea the winner of the inaugural event. Among the other women’s winners throughout the tournament’s history is current LPGA star Brooke Henderson who won in 2014.
The Niagara Falls Country Club and Porter Cup have shaped generations of golf — and community — in Western New York. Now the club will write its next chapter: hosting an elite mentorship opportunity for top junior girls to play alongside Legends of the LPGA.
The AGG Legacy Junior Challenge is more than a golf tournament—it is a celebration of women’s athletics, mentorship, and opportunity. Through competition, partnership, and philanthropy, the event aims to inspire the next generation of female golfers.
