We started back when every minute of airtime and every sponsorship dollar was a fight. One of us was a member of the first wave of women sportscasters. The other founded the first female-founded sports marketing agency in the U.S. and brought major brands to the LPGA. We have watched women’s sports go from overlooked to unstoppable. Today, global interest in girls’ and women’s sports has finally grown up.
U.S. viewership of women’s sports has nearly tripled since 2020, and Bank of America Global Research projects more than 250% revenue growth by 2030. In the first half of 2026, Americans watched 28.3 billion minutes of women’s sports, and more than half the country now says it’s interested. Deloitte expects global revenue to top $3 billion this year.
Why now? The audience was always there. What changed is that someone finally invested in reaching it. Networks moved women’s games into prime time. Brands followed the fans. And a generation of girls who grew up with Title IX became the parents, executives and season-ticket holders driving this moment. When girls can see it, they can be it.
Golf is part of this story. Girls now make up 35% of all junior golfers, and women and girls account for more than half of golf’s growth since the pandemic. But getting a girl to her first lesson is only half the job. The real challenge is keeping her. More than 40% of girls leave sports entirely by age 14. They tell us why: programs that aren’t fun, too much pressure, negative experiences. They also tell us what keeps them playing: fun, friendship, and doing something they’re good at.
That’s why American Golf Girl is built around one word: retention.
We aren’t here to compete with the excellent programs that introduce girls to golf. We complement them. AGG is designed for what comes next, the years when a girl decides whether golf is part of who she is.
Women’s sports have proven their value. Our job now is to make sure the next generation of girls doesn’t just discover golf. We want them to stay, lead, and pass it on.
Let’s do this!
